Presbyterian Men: Kenya Mission Trip 2014

A team representing the Presbyterian Men, Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, travel to Kenya this past summer in a mission trip to help local citizens built a church and a school.  The team arrived June 2, 2014 and traveled to the village of Ol-Donyo Sabuk, about 5 Km from the capital of Nairobi.  Within less than a week to complete the construction and the dedication service was held on June 8, 2014.

The Rev Dr. Alphonse Kanga, Moderator of the Thika Presbytery, Presbyterian Church of East Africa, officiated at the service using the Bible reading from Mark 3:1-6.

Not only did the team finish the construction, but provide equipment and decorations for the inside.  These included banners made by the women  of the New Covenant PC, Middletown, DE, and cross, Bibles a communion set, and offering baskets.

The team also built a two room school at the Ndalan Church in the Yatta Nendeni Parish.
